Professional Background & Training

Holder of the Certificat de Capacité d’Orthophoniste (Nancy, France, 2006), I began my career practicing orthophonie across a range of clinical settings, including a functional rehabilitation center for adults with neurological conditions, as well as in private practice.

Since 2011, I have worked on the East Coast of the United States, first in Boston and then in New York (since 2014), within bilingual and international school environments. This experience has allowed me to develop deep expertise in language development and learning, with a particular focus on multilingual and intercultural contexts.

Based in New York, I work closely with French and francophone international schools, particularly in Manhattan, where I collaborate with French private schools, public dual language programs, and families living in the city.

I have also worked with bilingual public school programs in Brooklyn, and I support students enrolled in francophone schools across the region, including in New Jersey and Westchester (French American Academy, FASNY), both in person and remotely.

This diversity of settings allows me to adapt my approach to the specific academic expectations of each environment, while ensuring continuity between school requirements and the work carried out with the child and their family.

I engage in ongoing professional development through specialized training and international conferences, focusing on language development, learning processes, executive functions, neurodevelopmental profiles, and bilingual contexts.

I have participated in multiple editions of the ASHA Convention, integrating current, evidence-based practices into my work.

Clinical expertise and support in a school setting

Throughout my career, I have worked with children presenting neurodevelopmental profiles, including communication challenges affecting speech and oral language, learning differences (such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), as well as attention differences, including ADHD, and autism spectrum profiles.

My work is based on a close alignment between language support and the academic and family environments in which children evolve. It reflects a refined understanding of educational contexts, particularly within bilingual and international settings, as well as their associated expectations.

I support children in their path toward school inclusion, working in close collaboration with teachers to:
- deepen the understanding of each student’s linguistic and cognitive profile
- adapt instructional approaches
- adjust the learning environment
- support the development of an equitable framework that promotes learning and academic success

A Refined Understanding of Individual Profiles, Within a Structured and Tailored Approach

My work is grounded in the precise identification of each individual’s strengths and vulnerabilities, in order to provide targeted, coherent, and evolving support.

My analysis focuses in particular on:

- patterns of language processing

- the cognitive processes involved in learning

- spontaneously mobilized strategies

- obstacles encountered in communication and learning situations

Each support plan is tailored to the individual’s profile, pace, and goals. It is built around:

- structured and progressive tools

- practical, directly applicable strategies

- explicit work on the mechanisms underlying language, learning, and cognition

The objective is not only to foster progress, but also to support its transfer into school and everyday life contexts.

Expertise in bilingualism

Working exclusively in French, I support children and adults in French–English bilingual environments.

My approach considers the specific dynamics of bilingual language development and the interaction between linguistic systems, allowing for precise adjustment of goals and methods.

Support also extends to parents

Working with parents is a central component of my approach.

I provide structured guidance to help parents better understand their child’s language and cognitive functioning, and to implement practical, tailored adjustments in daily life.
